When you plug your Jabra Evolve 20 MS headset into your laptop’s USB ports, you may find that the microphone is no longer recognised as a separate device. The audio will work, but the input will no longer be recognised.
The solution for this is simple:
- Open Device Manager.
- Scroll down to Sound, video and game controllers and expand it.
- Right click Intel Smart Sound Technology for USB Audio and disable it.
- Restart your laptop.
Your microphone will now work. I have tested this on multiple setups and can confirm that this fix will work every time.
