radio.garden lets you listen to radio stations from different countries across the world. I stumbled across this website years ago and spent many hours on it. I recently revisited it to find out that radio stations outside of the UK are now blocked due to copyright reasons.
Here’s how to bypass it:
- Install the uBlock Origin extension for your browser. You should already have this installed anyway as it’s great at blocking unwanted ads, including YouTube ads.
- Click the uBlock Origin icon in the extensions menu in the top right of your browser.
- Click the Open the dashboard icon (cog).
- Click My filters in the top left.
- Copy the following URL and paste it into the text box: https://radio.garden/api/geo
- Click Apply changes.
You can now browse any radio station without needing to use a VPN.
Bonus tip: Use the Shazam browser extension to find the song name so you can add it to your Spotify/Google Music/YouTube playlist.
