I recently ran into an issue where I downloaded the TikTok LIVE Studio app to stream my typing videos and I accidentally proceeded with the setup without choosing to import my settings, so I closed the app and reopened it.
It then began downloading the 700mb+ again! This took a long time with the TikTok download server speeds. And then foolishly I closed it again as I accidentally skipped the import stage. It then started downloading again!
The solution?
- Open regedit on your computer (type this in the Windows Search box).
- Navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.json.
- Double click Content Type and change this to text/json.
- Open TikTok LIVE Studio again and it won’t need to redownload it.
I’ve verified that this works and hopefully it will save someone some time and stress.
