Disable Windows Startup Sound

Disable the Windows start-up sound and avoid waking up other people by doing the following steps. This will work on Windows 7, 8 and 10.

1. Open Run from start menu or Win Key + R
2. Type mmsys.cpl and press enter
3. Press Sounds
4. Uncheck ‘Play Windows Start-up Sound’ and press OK
